A new form of Motocross racing is sweeping the Nation, and new clubs & organizations are popping up in cities and towns all throughout the USA.
These tracks are smaller than typical motocross tracks, or in some cases use parts of the regular tracks.
Typically modern motocross race tracks are approximately one mile in length on average.
The new tracks are smaller and the bikes are smaller and less powerful, this makes for a great stepping stone for racing on the bigger more powerful bikes and tracks we are used to, consider it a bunny hill for what has become the rather extreme sport of Motocross racing.

American motocross hasn't seen large growth like this since the 1970's!
The sport of motocross racing had an explosion of growth in the 1970's, it was a perfect storm of things coming together including
Marketing like "on any suday", organized racing like AMA pro and amateur racing, affordable kids & adult sized motocross specific bikes and momentum. Plus relaxed laws.
in modern times participation and popularity of the sport of motocross is at an all time low at the grassroots level.
So what went wrong?
This is a common topic among enthusiasts of the sport. & though It's a subject that's talked about often the answer is somewhat complex because it wasn't just one thing, it was a combination of things.
You could ask five different people that used to race motocross but quit racing why they quit and get five different answers, because the reasons are different for some than they are for others.

2. Injuries, severity of Injuries, and fear of Injury.
3. places to ride nearby or lack there of.
4. Perception, a lot of people these days don't even think of motocross as something that they could do.
